Notes:
Old laptop has CDRW + DVD ROM, new one can only be configured with DVDRW
Old laptop has TL-52 processor. The lowest processor the new one can be configured with is TL-58. The technology is different, and the TL-58 is slower. I suggested the TL-64. TK-xx should not be considered, as it is a very different class of CPU.
Old laptop is 14.1", new one is 15.4". I'm fine with that..
Old laptop has QuickPlay, while the new one does not appear to. I think the added webcam would be appropriate compensation.
Old laptop has a 40 GB HD, new one can only be configured with 80GB or higher. I chose 120GB here since it is listed as a free upgrade to the 80GB on the H&HO Store
Old laptop was purchased with Windows XP, and then upgraded for free to Vista when it was released. I was shipped a set of recovery DVDs when that happened. I would like to get recovery DVDs for the new one as well, if that is possible.
Old laptop was not purchased with a bluetooth module, however, I did purchase one from HP afterwards, and it is currently in the machine. That is why I chose wireless+bluetooth, rather than just wireless.
I kept my old headphones. No need to include new ones...unless you're feeling generous.
