You meet them everywhere in London, the homeless youth who’s out selling ”The big issue” which/that is a newspaper they create by themselves. Natasja who’s 21 years is one of them. I met her at the Embankment, which/that is a station in the center of London. “This is a nice place” she says “I sell lots of papers, but what have meant most to me is, which/that I have a work, which/that I like and have given me my self-respect back.”
Most people, who/that buy “Issue” are really nice. I don’t just get the 50p, but also a smile which/that warms on a cold morning.
But yet there are some who thinks homeless people are dirty, who/whom cloth are ragged.
And the other day there was a lady, who/that said to me: “”If you can afford to buy cigarettes then you can’t be homeless.”
“I want to study” says Natasja. “But at first my boyfriend and me will save up for an apartment, which/that unfortunately is quite expensive.”
According to Shelter, which/that/(Ø) (is) a organization for homeless people, there are more than 3000, which/that sleep in the streets of London.
However this number has been decreased the last couple of years, thanks to the so called "Rough-Sleeping" project, that tries to find place in special hostels to them, who doesn't have a place to live
