Maybe look in a very recent release candidate kernel.
EDIT:
Correction, it is supported, but its under the experimental ATA drivers section in the 2.6.20 kernel configuration where the production serial ata drivers are now located.
"Serial ATA (prod) and Parallel ATA (experimental) drivers"
