*) = Minor issues
1) Global
*) Default windows size could be 800x525 or something similar.
Reason: All conrols would be visible using default font size (10).
And there would some place left for desktop environment panels.
*) Default column values could be "Column 1" and "Column 2"
*) Open/Create file - maybe it makes sense to open/create file in new
application window, and keep "current" document opened?
*) New file - there could be such option _by default_ in toolbar menu.
And not using wizard would be better.
1.1) Maybe last file shouldn't be opened by default. And there should be an
option to choose, if application will "continue from the last time" or
not.
1.2) "Read-only" files - if users opens some file format, in which
Parley can't write, then at least in title bar could be also notice
about it. And of course then don't allow user to overwrite that file,
but open "Save as.." dialog for that. (Especially true for old (version
1) kvtml files).
1.3) Grammar -> Types. What means "Type for Practice" ->
"Special meaning of X" and how should it be used?
1.4) Adding languages dialog
Could be implemented in a different manner, see Dream 1) Metacolumns.
(Using flag for language in considered bad practice, since in some
countries different languages are spoken and same languages are spoken
in different countries.)
1.5) "Grammar properties" -> "(language name)" -> "Personal pronouns".
Those "Personal pronouns" checkboxes could be higher, than "Personal
pronouns". So boxes would remain on same position, if
checking/unchecking some and keyboard navigation would be also more
comfortable, since you could configure first, what is is possible to
enter, not go trough ~10 input areas first, configure something and
then go backwards.
(And navigation (tab order) could be from left to right,
not up to bottom).
2) Table model (or how is it named)
*) "endless scrolling"?, so you wouldn't have to worry about adding new
rows - they would be added automatically.
2.1) Navigation (editing vocabulary).
I think here it makes sense to make parley act as usual spreadsheet
application. (especially useful if trying to edit more than 2 columns).
Enter -> move down.
Shift+Enter -> move up.
Tab -> move right.
Shift+Tab -> move left.
3) Smaller issues.
*) When clicking on "Restore native order" arrow in column header remains.
It should become hidden now.
*) Entry number column - clicking on it should maybe sort entries by
their numbers, not select all entries.
*) Maybe there would be also such
option as "reset" in that number column, it means if rows are sorted
by e.g. third column,
entry number column is messed up. So that "reset" option would order
numbers in number column.
*) Practice could ignore such "rows" (or "questions"), where some
answer, question is "empty" or otherwise incomplete.
*) Ctrl+F shortcut for search
*) (maybe) bigger issue with search box - it could allow to enter (and delete)
text freely, not lock that input area, while search is perfrormed.
(SAT file for testing).
*) Entry numbers are not updated sometimes.
Reproduce: I used sat.kvtml and kept 10 enties visible.
Now sort one column (Word) in reverse order. First ten enties are
still numbered 1-10. That's the issue.
But if you do something (select entry in that row or
scroll or switch to other window numbers are updated.
*) "Active" "checkbox" could be checkbox, not dropdown list.
*) In lessons (new - select all) and (delete - deselect) have same icons, it's confusing.
---Dreams---
Dream 1) Metacolumns - users could create so many columns as they will want and
there would be such "treat as {$$$}" option,
$$$ will be extracted from Grammar Properties - types. I
There would be an option to "hide" column, "insert", "remove",
and "rename" column.
And "Edit column" would show dialog, where would possible to change
"treat as $$$", column name, column language, and keyboard layout.
If $$$ would be "Main column", then it would be possible to
