I've been considering a HDTV purchase for some time.
I'm interested in 32", right now it's the largest size that's practical. I live in Canada so model availability is somewhat constrained. I will be using the television with mythtv, due to the limitations of current versions of X, the physical pixel aspect ratio much match the screen aspect ratio, which may preclude certain plasma panels. I plan to use this TV for many years.
I've narrowed things down to a few models under consideration:
The "omg 1080p" option
Sharp LC32D62U
The "omg XBR4" option
Sony KDL32XBR4
I'm open to suggestions, though I have no interest in a larger television. I'd like to keep the price reasonable but I don't mind paying for quality.
I'd like black blacks, no clouding, good image quality, I may play games or similar on it so 120Hz seems like it would be appealing.
