People their whole lives compete. Dreams can either become true or crumble right in front of you. But it is your decision, for me though it is a tug a war. On one end is me and on the other though, is the rest of the world.
As the glowing sun rises every morning I usually decide to open my eye lids but this morning my eyes felt heavy and tired so it was easy to close them once more. with a sudden shout I heard my mother” LILLIAN ANN JOHNSON YOU BETTER BE OUT OF BED!” that was when I knew I was in trouble. After my heart has skipped a beat or to I recovered quickly as I realized I would be late for another demanding school day. After I quickly got dressed I immediately ran downstairs and saw my mother’s disappointed angry face.
School was the same as it always is and always will be. My friends have always been there for me and I am always there for them. My social life was a high point. I always work hard for school, although it is not the best no matter how hard I try. I am involved in multiple things at school. I play soccer and I am in band. I am well known for I am in, but I am not in the high social status of popularity.
My mom tries to be there for me. She guides me through my weaknesses and strong points. My dad has left me when I was little and my mom has been tough and not shown emotion to effect my life in bad way. She is strong. As a child I have been lead to music. Classical, country, rap, rock anything I loved it. Music is what makes me. My cousin was like me he loved music. We were inseparable at times. He was my favorite. He would always tell me to do my best. My goals for life was to be doctor I want to help people, I want to cure anything I can to make people happy. My cure for life is the piano. Constant playing. Each touch of the smooth white key on the tip of my finger would help me escape to a place indescribable. I was in charge there. No matters of school, I do not need to be perfect for that world, in that world my mother was always happy about me. But then I let go of the key and it disappears to a dark cold place to where I do not belong… or at least I thought.
Life was my cycle. You can make anything become true as long as you make it come true. Love, friendship, trust are all one big circle. If you look at it in a way you can see how things connect. My cousin and I have been together for ever. Through the tough times and through the best times of our lives.
The worst day of my life occurred, to the point where I couldn’t handle anything. My best friend, my cousin, actually my brother is laying in a bed fearful to move or not knowing whether or not he can move or will ever be able to again. The cruel world of the unknown has struck.
A few days later he left me.
What was I to do? My friends would not understand what I was going through. My mother has been dealing with more in her life then to care about me and my feelings.
With every touch a new emotion and a new memory. Each soft key as radiant as the other. I cry of happiness and sadness combined. He is my cousin and my brother. The soft keys beneath my finger tips were the solution to all my problems. No matter how much a mess this world would cause me. My solution is here and will never change.
School is where i work to try my personal best and get a better life. Trying to succeed is my plan in life. I want better then what I have. Life is something people deal with and people fight through the obstacles they are given to prove they can make it and they can be better than anything else. My friends will always be there for me. My family will be there even if I try to make it seem like they aren’t. my life is a cycle of confusion but I will make my life be a better place.
Those keys under my finger tips are survival to my life. Music will never leave my side just like my cousin was always there. My mom has been trying to care. She has realized I am only a teenager and that a person can only handle so much. We make our own cycles. It is your decision on how to make it work. For I am Lillian Ann Johnson and my cycle is just starting.
