Music is an art form consisting of sound and silence expressed through time. You can do different kind of sounds with many objects and instruments. Music is divided into genres and sub-genres for example rock, blues and classical music. It has different meanings for different people and cultures: some compose music, others play music, and the others only listen to it. Some people don’t care about music at all but for some people it could mean everything.
The primary purpose of music is for relaxation. Yet, there are many other types of music that does the opposite. The types of music include, dance music, romantic music, religious music, spiritual music, ethnic music, children music, rock music, classical music and many others.
Different music effects people in different ways. Some of the classical music might be able to help you to sleep well and rock music has had a huge influence on teenagers and the way they behave.
The history of music
The origins of the music isn’t surely known but it is believed to join to the evolution of the talk and it might also have been affected the voices of nature such as the birds voices. Music is often combined with the cultural mytology and it has been part of rituals. There has been music in almost every culture from the early ages.
Before the industrial revolution of the 19th century and the globalisation after it, every culture had it own musical tradition. Nowadays the western music is spread almost to every industrial country and also somewhat to the urban areas of the developing countries. At the same time it also has drained impressions from the music of the other cultures and therefore it has formed new music styles.
Because the music is binded to its time and it always can’t remain in the original form it must have been taught trough the generations. The invention of the musical notation was an overturn in keeping the music on the original form. The next big step was the invention to record the music. Nowadays everyone can enjoy music everywhere with very simple ways, because there is music everywhere: at home, in a concert hall, in the park, at the seaside, in the forest and even in the street.
