A personal accomplishment that is important to me and has reshaped my goals and ambitions was the ability to alter my mindset, and finally gather the motivation to lose weight , pay attention to my nutrition, and begin my bodybuilding journey. The journey resembled more of valley, with many bumps and plateaus, a journey composed of good days and bad days, but a journey I am eternally thankful I stuck out to the end.

Throughout my life I suffered from being partially over weight, and had to deal with the consequences of extra weight through occasional teasing and friends and family joking around about my weight. Though on the outside I would smile and laugh, on the inside it hurt me. In my past over weight life, the problem was that I was in denial. I denied the fact I was over weight and believed that I was just big boned, and continued to think that I was just a little chubby and didn't need to lose any weight. It wasn't until I reached a point in my life were I was feeling so down and depressed, where I examined my life and realized how so many problems in my life had to do with my extra weight, that the only way I will ever be healthy is if I mentally and physically become reborn and start taking care of my body.

I started my journey slowly, and eventually started implementing new ideas in my exercise routine and in my diet to allow me to live a better life style. I started living my life differently in so many areas, instead of watching television or just entertaining myself with video games I started becoming more active by swimming regularly, having nightly jogs around the neighborhood, and just living my life the way I should have always lived it. I started feeling more energetic throughout the day without all the sugar in my system, had a better mood, and my body image and self confidence improved dramatically and with that, so did my social life and how I communicated with others.

Of course, nothing great can be accomplished without experiencing plateaus and finding the strength to overcome them.. During the first month of abandoning all processed "junk"food and white sugar, my body was suffering from sugar withdrawal and it was until after the first 3-4 weeks that it became easier, and with all the "junk" out of my system I felt clear headed for the first time In my life. There were also bad days were I thought I wasn't losing weight fast enough, or days that I thought "it's not working, why am I still doing this". When ever I had those pessimistic thoughts I started thinking of all the reasons why I started what I did, of all the reasons why the quality of my life would improve dramatically if I just stick by it, that the pessimistic thoughts would fade away.

Accomplishing what I did was so much more than just altering my physical and mental health, but it convinced me of the fact that anything I can ever dream of IS possible. If a year ago, I looked into the future and saw myself today and what I have become, I would never have believed it because a year ago what I did today I believed to be impossible. Today I know that nothing is impossible, if I stick to what I believe and continue to implement those ideas long enough then things WILL change. This accomplishment allowed me to realize that I don't ever have to stand by for something I am not happy and that with motivation and determination that my dreams will come true. This is by far the most important accomplish,
