The performance is not the same when using Wine or Cedega. Wine doesn't support all games, and Cedega costs money. Why would you want to emulate something, when you can have real thing.
I've said this over and over again, if you want a server, go with linux.
I don't like when people distribute wrong information to others. There may be thousands of applications for Linux, but they don't come close to performance or simplicity of windows / mac os applications.
If you're thinking of putting linux on your PC just to surf and mess around, forget it. It's better to stay on windows or mac os.
If you're thinking of doing graphics work, as well as working with other popular application, then stay on mac os.
For everything else including gaming, windows is the way to go.
Remember, just because an OS can do something, doesn't make it the best tool.
Just because Linux has GIMP, doesn't mean it can do anywhere near what photoshop can do.
Just because PC can run windows server such as IIS, doesn't make it the best solution like Apache on Linux machine.
Please inform people about systems properly, rather than feeding them with useless crap, such as "Linux can play games tooo, or Mac can play games too, or PC can be a server too!"
There are clear differences between all 3 of those, and should be pointed out, rather than having people experience it on their own, and maybe develop a stereotype for a particular system.
