1. game logo - "guitar legend"
2. a 'standard' background design for menu pages. doesnt have to be 1 static piece of artwork, if you've got ideas for moving/animated bits i can code it. probably some sort of gothic style would be good.. could use a dark sky/clouds as a background.
2.1 a design for buttons to be used in the GUI, gothic buttons!
3. a design for the in-game background. see: http://www.imagesocket.com/view/gl_latest97b.jpg , the area thats currently dark grey needs some kind of design, again gothic. kee in mind there needs to be a place for player icons and score meters, but you can move the location of them around as needed to fit the artwork.
4. a score meter design - another gothic/heavy metal themed score meter.. maybe metallic looking.. it displays the score, and the players current multiplier. it has a series of 10 little dots that light up as you complete a note streak. see the picture above to see them^^. the dots are saved ina seperate file
5. player icons.. hopefully animated. you get the idea from the screenshot of the size/style. both players should probably be holding guitars, if anything though.. not a mic.
animations:
static animation
'idle' animation(s).. slight movement
'moshing'/headbanging animation - for when the player activates star power
annoyed face animatiion - for when the player misses a note
sucess/cheer animation - for the winner
hanging head in shame - for the loser
6. look at the picture again, the round circles at the bottom are the note indicators. they show what notes are pressed. when a note is pressed they change animation, currenly they fill with the color. these need redesigning to fit the theme, though they need to keep the basic color they dont have to be compeltely one color like they are now.. they could be metallic with a colored glow i the middle that gets brighter when pressed or something, for example
7. the notes that move down the fretboard. look in the gfx/ folder of guitar legend. the notes_xxxxx.png files are the notes that move down the feretboard. they need redesigning to look decent and fit in with the gothic theme, and like above they need to retain color. There are also variations of the basic note image for a hammer-on note... they should look basicly the same but with some slight difference thats not too hard for the player to see. an extra bit of detailing on one side of the graphic, or a different border.. something like that
