(Sparrow is spying on Solik and Rana. He's facing away from the
screen, but at a sudden moment he turns around)
Sparrow: Why are you following me?
(Voyd appears)
Voyd: I'm supposed to be supervising you.
Sparrow: I don't need supervision. Return to your associates.
Voyd: Oh, I beg to differ.
(pause)
Voyd: So what has he been doing?
Sparrow: Not much of anything yet. However, I can tell he has
something grandiose planned....and it may be quite gruesome.
Voyd: It certainly would not surprise me. Just remember that you are
not to be seen or engage him in combat. This is purely observation.
Sparrow: Enough. I know what to do.
(pause)
Voyd: You know, it's ironic. This is the sort of mission Torin would
have been assigned to. You remember Torin, don't you?
(pause)
Voyd: I suspect you do. At one point, I sent him to Rellenia to
provide assistance to your boss while he opened his store there. He
arrived and found that you were running that operation quite smoothy
on your own.
(pause)
Voyd: He spoke quite highly of you. None of us could figure out why at
the time. Frankly, I find your whole persona to be rather ghoulish,
and I'm not alone.
Sparrow: Good for you.
Voyd: We've done some research on you, however, and it makes more
sense now. I was surprised to find that you have some of the same
unique abilities he did. It may be more common someday, but for now
it's still quite rare.
Sparrow: Do you ever stop talking?
Voyd: Certainly. My whole profession relies on my silence. I am
grateful to take a break from that when I have the chance.
(pause)
Voyd: Master Ketsu is someone who always tries to find the best in a
situation, even a tragic one. He also has a good eye for talent.
Sparrow: What are you getting at?
Voyd: There could be a place for you within The Hand....if you were interested.
Sparrow: *chuckle* Not a chance in hell.
Voyd: Hmm....pity. Well, think it over. Perhaps you will chnage your
mind. I shall let you go about your business for the time being, but
we shall speak again soon.
(He vanishes. Sparrow pauses for a moment, and then resumes his watch)
