Xvnc/LTSP/GDM/inetd HOWTO:

1) Enable XDMCP
- System->Administration->Login Screen Setup
- Tab Security->Enable XDMCP
- Tab XDMCP--> You can disable "Honor Indirect Requests"

2) Add all repositories via Synaptic Package Manager

3) sudo apt-get install vnc4server

4) Add following to inetd.conf:

5901    stream    tcp  nowait root  /usr/bin/Xvnc Xvnc -inetd :1 -query localhost -geometry 800x600 -once 
-fp /usr/share/fonts/X11/misc -DisconnectClients=0 -NeverShared securitytypes=none -extension XFIXES
---

5) Edit /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf:
	a) Search for "[xdmcp]" and change "Enable=False" to "Enable=True"
	b) Search for "RemoteGreeter=/usr/lib/gdm/gdmlogin" and un-comment it

6) Restart inetd with:   "sudo /etc/init.d/openbsd-inetd restart"

7) Test locally with:  vncviewer localhost:1

8) Test remotely with:  vncviewer <ipaddress>:1

9) Add SSH tunnel (client-side, ssh server must be enabled on server already):

ssh -L 5901:127.0.0.1:5901 myusername@<public_remote_ip>
vncviewer localhost:1
