Why Everyone Should Vote for ME!
I believe there are many; many issues with Carlisle High School like unfair workload, boring classes, and gym class in general. I am, however, going to focus on one issue: Food.
Have you ever walked into the cafeteria, hoping that today will be the day that the pizza is actually good? That the applesauce doesn’t have hair in it, and that the Pringles and soda cans will be overflowing from the shelves? Well, if you elect me for class president, then these things and more can be yours!
My main point is this: I believe that student should be able to eat what they want. Students have the right to eat whatever the heck they want. There is nothing in the Constitution that gives schools the rights to give their students nasty sun chips instead of normal potato chips. Or Fritos. Or other good stuff. And what’s the point anyway? They still serve ice cream and cookies and pizza, which is just as bad as a big of Doritos. I also think that soda should be put in the snack machines, and that they should be open at all times. The last thing that I would do is allow gum to be chewed in all classes.
What is the deal with the food in this school? If we wanted to eat healthy, we would eat healthy. I miss the French fries every other day. No wear in the whole entire Constitution does it say that student have to eat healthy foods. We should have healthy and unhealthy choices available to us. By taking away the minority of snack foods, like chips, and replacing it with more fattening things, like cookies, people are more likely to choose the more fattening choice. But if we have a choice, people will get a mix of things, healthy and unhealthy, which balances everything out. If someone wants Doritos, let them have Doritos. But if they want Sun Chips, let them have those too. We should be able to choose what we eat, not have it chosen for us.
I also don’t like the lunch ladies. They serve everything too slowly, and even though they wear hair nets, I still find hair in my food. I propose they wear full body suits, so there will be no more hair in my applesauce and fingers in my chili. They should also be able to fast, too.
On to my next point. I found an article saying that chewing gum can improve your short term and long term memory by up to 15%. So, even if you don’t vote for me, now you know the truth the teachers have been hiding. Chewing gum also helps kids with stress reduction. So, if kids could chew gum when they were being taught the material, they would be more likely to remember it, and if they chew gum during the test, it will relieve stress and help them remember everything. In fact, the school should also supply the gum for the children to chew during tests.
Lastly, I believe the vending machines should be on at all times, and should provide soda, flavored water, and iced tea. Students should be allowed to purchase from it between classes and before & after school, as they long as they don’t drink their beverages during a class where drinking is not allowed.
So, if you like to eat good food, vote for me. If you don’t like to eat good food, vote for me anyway!
