It's a pity that the majority of people don't realise the fact that the Apple iPhone is closed source device and as such, you are at the mercy of Apple Inc. itself. Apple Inc. control your mobile phone. You do not control it. If you can't open it, you don't own it.
When will people wake up to the fact that Apple Inc. are monopolising the digital media market? Microsoft Corp. and Apple Inc. are one and the same. The Microsoft Zune is a pathetic failure and the Apple iPod is a closed, weak device. There are far superior devices available such as a Cowon iAudio D2 which boasts Open Source file format support, a huge touchscreen, DAB digital radio support as well as the fact that it has in excess of 50 hours of audio playback and 10 hours of video playback as well as the fact that you can view your movies, pictures and suchlike on your TV via its TV-Out port.
The Apple iPhone is a pathetic device which has been overhyped, it's most certainly not worth the money paid, people would be better off investing in a truly open mobile phone such as the FIC Neo 1973 OpenMoko mobile phone.
