This is our TODO for the next 2 months. All tasks should be done until november, 1st. Critical and urgent things are italic, must be done asap and will provide updates for em.
EFM
- Clean up the code for better infrastructure so we can add stuff to it easyly.
**Probably won't be done with the current efm (Partially completed w/ cleanup of e_fwin) (dh)
- Add support for reading mimetype icons from the FDO icon theme (mekius)
- Add FDO Trash Bin. (mekius)
- Just implement home directory trash bin, top dir bins are not required
- Add checks for network and removable media mounts and don't trash files on them
- Implement topdir trash bins if time permits and allow network and removable media deletes using these bins
- Multiple file selection (magical rubber-band)
- On the desktop, make it usable by holding shif ot Ctrl. Needs more discussion.
- Uncomment and test listview
- Everything we did in the dirty/hackish way... Clean up and do it in normal, clean way (ie icon placement)
- Recognizing devices - like if its a photo camera - show a photo camera on the desk, if it's an iPod - show iPod icon. (raster wanted this as well)
** It should be done as an HAL configuration and handled by efm afterward
- New fm theme? New background for it?
** A nicer evas textblock wrapping (using blanck and special char) would be probably usefull
- fm2 needs to auto-scroll if dnd hovers on edge of fm2 for a while
- fm2 needs to display more than 1 file being dragged (if more than 1 is being dragged)
- fm2 needs Cut/Copy/Paste menu entries
Fileman
- Add keybindings
- redo the current toolbar and do it in the way raster wants it. I guess we have enough time for this.
- Add more stuff to the toolbar, like copy/paste buttons, etc.
- should remember scroll pos per dir
OTHER
- a way for external apps to register config panel items (and be executed)
- setup configs for gnome and kde (as options) if they are installed (eg run gnome-settings-daemon).
** Can be added as a separate module
- Think of the best virtualization solution (qemu?)
** We need good hardware to handle virtualization, and qemu is probably not the easiest
- Think of the best remote desktop-ing solution (VNC?)
- xdnd timeout
