Greetings;
I am interested in viewing the apartment, if it is still available.
A little bit about me.
My name is Donald E. Mowry III
I am a 24 year old student at Lorain County Community College, and just started working (well, will start next Friday) for Regency Technologies in Solon, Ohio. My bring-home pay will be approximately $325 a week.
With my income, I will be capable of paying for my monthly rent obligations with less than two paychecks.
I am a quiet person, and dislike parties, however, I do like to have a couple friends over to play card (Magic: The gathering) and Role-Play (Dungeons and Dragons) games every few weeks, but we’re not a noisy group.
I am going to be receiving a check for approximately $2,000 this Saturday (the disbursement from the unused portions of my PELL grant, and Student loans), and starting two weeks after that, I will be receiving a full-time income. What this means, is that I will be able to pay first month’s rent, plus deposit, and have more than enough money to cover moving expenses, furniture, etc.
I don’t have very good credit, chalk it up to “stupid teenager” syndrome, when I was 18, and not-so-secure, I went out and got two credit cards, and a cell phone, I was living beyond my means. Never again. I am working with the creditors to get that debt paid off, and make things right. But if good credit is a prerequisite, then I am probably not the person for you.
I’m an honest person, with no criminal background aside from petty shoplifting in 2001 (again, “stupid teenager”). Never again.
I am part-owner of a business that supplies computers to two LAN gaming centers in NW Ohio, I am in charge of maintenance of the computers (22 in total), and the networks that they are connected to. I can fix your computer if it breaks. This is my passion in life (aside from gaming), and is what I am attending LCCC for. I will graduate sometime in 2010.
I don’t always talk like this, I just prefer to be concise and to the point in my opening e-mails. I’m actually a very friendly person, and well-spoken. I just like to make first contact in the form of E-Mail so I have a record of the things I’ve asked; lessens the chance that I will suffer from “open-mouth-insert-foot” syndrome the first time we actually talk.
I have a couple of questions for you, I will ask them here, and if I don’t get a return e-mail from you by tomorrow (Friday) early afternoon, I will give you a call (sometimes my mail doesn’t send, my mail server has been flaky as of late)
• Utilities included: does this mean water, gas, trash, sewer, and electric? (silly question, I know, but I’ve seen a few “utilities included” ads that pay for water and trash only)
• Who is the cable provider in this neighborhood? I know Cox and Time Warner both service this area, but would like to know for sure
• What is the neighborhood like? I’ve lived in a quiet neighborhood in a small town my whole life, and while I can adapt to a busier neighborhood, I don’t want to go to bed scared that my car is going to be stolen, or that I need to check to make sure I locked my front door so I don’t get robbed. (please rate on a scale of 1 – 10, 1 being bad, and 10 being excellent)
• What are the terms you expect/will accept for lease? 6mo/12mo/24mo? Other? (please specify)
• What are the parking arrangements? On-street? Of-street? Parking Garage? Private Garage?
• Do you happen to have any pictures of the apartment? I’m afraid I won’t be available to view the apartment in person before Tuesday of next week. I’ll actually probably be in town looking at another apartment on that day, so maybe I can arrange a time before or after that viewing?
I’m sure there are more questions that I’ve not thought of to ask, but that’s why man invented the cellular phone. And I’m also sure that there are probably questions that you would like to ask me that were not answered in this e-mail.
Thank you for your time.
