11:33:33 LOG OPEN [-noopen] [-autoopen] [-window] [-<server tag>] [-targets <targets>] [-colors] <fname> [<levels>]
11:33:33 LOG CLOSE <id>|<file>
11:33:33 LOG START <id>|<file>
11:33:33 LOG STOP <id>|<file>
11:33:33
11:33:33 -noopen: Create the entry to log list, but don't start logging
11:33:33 -autoopen: Automatically open this log file at startup
11:33:33 -<server tag>: Targets are logged only in this server
11:33:33 -targets: Log only in specified channels/nicks (space separated list)
11:33:33 -window: Log output in the window. Active window is used by default, or
11:33:33 you can give the window's refnum in -targets.
11:33:33 <filename>: File name where to log, it is parsed with
11:33:33 strftime(), so %d=day, etc. see "man strftime" for
11:33:33 more info.
11:33:33 <levels>: Defaults to ALL
11:33:33 <id>: ID number of log.
11:33:33
11:33:33 /SET log_create_mode <mode> - Specifies what file mode to use with
11:33:33 the created log files. Default is 0644.
11:33:33
11:33:33 All of these are parsed with strftime(): /SET log_timestamp <text> - Specifies the time stamp format.
11:33:33 Default is "%H:%M ".
11:33:33 /SET log_open_string <text> - Text written to log when it's opened /SET log_close_string <text> - Text written to log when it's closed
/SET log_day_changed <text> - Text written to log when day changes
11:33:33
11:33:33 NOTE: Log files are locked after opened, so two Irssis can't accidentally try to write to the same log file.
11:33:33
11:33:33 Examples:
11:33:33
11:33:33 /LOG OPEN -targets cras ~/irclogs/cras.log MSGS
11:33:33 - Logs all messages from/to nick `cras'
11:33:33
11:33:33 /LOG OPEN -targets #linux ~/irclogs/linux/linux-%Y-%m-%d
11:33:33 - Logs all messages in channel #linux. Log is rotated daily, so
11:33:33 logs in 1. May 2000 goes to file "linux-2000-05-01", when the
11:33:33 day is changed, Irssi closes the log and starts logging to
11:33:33 "linux-2000-05-02" etc.
