	I don't know
persept	ok so after i have whatever installed, then what
	charles_
I've tried to avoid cygwin, since it requires middleware and makes the app bigger/slower
	persept ok
	charles_
	okay, so after mingw/msys/msysDTK...
	charles_
get an SVN transmission snapshot either by installing SVN, or by getting it on another machine and moving a tarball over
persept	um ok, so i need the MinGW Runtime, and where is the msys, i can't find it on the download site
	charles_ msys:
	charles_
	http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2435&package_id=82721&release_id=158803
 	charles_
	msysDTK:
	charles_
	http://downloads.sourceforge.net/mingw/msysDTK-1.0.1.exe?modtime=1041379200&big_mirror=1
 	 persept	ok cool
	charles_
the default choices are fine for all three installes
persept	and with mingw, i need the binutils, winapi, mingw runtime and gcc, but the only thing i can't find is the gcc package on the site
	charles_
	^ installers
persept	wait, there's a mingw installer?
	charles_
yeah, let me get the URL
persept	no wonder i was having problems....
	charles_
	mingw:
	charles_
	http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=2435&use_mirror=superb-west&filename=MinGW-5.1.3.exe&62989964
 	charles_
anyway, you install the three mingw tools in this order: mingw, msys, msysDTK
	charles_
once you've installed those three, you'll have a thin Unix-like shell to work in. You start it by clicking on the ugly blue "M" msys icon on the desktop :)
	 persept	ok cool
>>then unzip the latest transmission binary http://download.m0k.org/transmission/files/transmission-0.82.tar.gz to :\msys\1.0\home\$username, whatever your username is
>>then cd into your directory (Transmission) and then do ./autogen.sh
>>once that is done you can do ./configure
>>then if all is good do make
>>i forget what make install does on windows though
>>it should make a working transmission-cli.exe that can be run in the command prompt and the M shell
