Shirley_ > I'm sorry for the delay.
Greg > np
Shirley_ > Greg, SONY does not support, or recommend installing, any older or previous version of the Windows operating system, because the system hardware (e.g. video adapter, modem, i.Link port, USB port, network card, DVD/CDRW drive, etc.) and applications (e.g. MovieShaker, DVgate, PictureGear, Media Bar, DirectCD, etc.) may not function under the earlier environment.
Shirley_ > Drivers for previous versions of Windows that did not ship on your VAIO are not provided, or supported, by SONY.
Greg > You did not answer my question

Greg > i know it is a memory card and i need the driver
Shirley_ > Greg, your Computer is supplied with the Sony Memory Card Reader/Writer Driver.
Greg > i know that i can see it in the computer
Greg > but just because it is in a sony computer does not mean it is a sony reader
Greg > dell puts your screen in their monitors sometimes
Greg > so really it is a sony tv
Greg > are you saying it is a sony brand reader?
Shirley_ > Greg, the information you have required about the manufacturer of the Momery Card Reader is an unpublished specification.
Shirley_ > The hardware used in our VAIO products are custom designed and built specifically for Sony as OEM hardware from various selected manufacturers.
Shirley_ > They do not have a direct retail counterpart model from which you can ascertain additional information.
Greg > i am sure you are not the only person they make the readers for
Greg > and most likely there are drivers out there if i knew the brand of reader it is
Greg > it is a shame that you make a nice small laptop and do not have xp support for it
Shirley_ > Greg, I'm sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing with the Windows XP Drivers.
Greg > i understand the drivers not showing up on the support page for the laptop
Greg > but i at least ought to be able to find them based on the manufacturer just like i did w/ everything else
Greg > i will just go and get my money back and try something different
Greg > dont want to have a tv w/ a vcr in it that does not work
Greg > same w/ a laptop
