Kyle,
Fair enough....I am glad you checked... it shows you are serious, and
that's good. But what monster.com doesn't reflect is the fact that AS is
farmed out to other countries due to the fact that not enough people are
skilled in it... I still think AS in combination with PHP is where the
industry is going- a prime example espn's gameday for any sport- classic
example of php and flash integration. Either way we could debate and
still hold our opinions-
After reading some articles the other day regarding web jobs- the bottom
line is you need a whole toolbox of skills (which you are certainly
building!) to get yourself ahead. And the number one thing to have is a
resume of sites people can go see for themselves.... it's a field that
your work speaks for you, not the courses you took. I also know php is
not going anywhere anytime soon- you will be incredibly marketable with
the skills you are/have developed....
I think you already got the point, but I wanted to make sure you know I
was concerned with you open vocal trashing of things.... as much is done
by fellow students, I don't want people (beginners) to be afraid of
showing work due to open criticism.... just be more constructive instead
of declaring "that's awful", or "that stinks". Even though it is not
perfect, I still think our web site for the high school is among the
better ones out there for a high school. I also anticipate good things
coming from you this year in making the site even better.
