Crazy pizza guy
There were many, many geeks at PAX, and they were all very, very hungry. While there were a few restaurants around the convention center, one of the more popular eating locations was a pizza-by-the-slice restaurant on the first floor. The place was staffed by a single, angry Italian gentleman who sold pizza on each of the three days, cursing under his breath and grabbing the money out of the hands of customers who were willing to put up with the abuse for the pizza.
When he ran out? The line would completely stop while he turned his back to the hungry patrons to make more slices, cursing under his breath. This guy was a hardcore grouch, but his commitment was undeniable, and the slices were pretty good. The show was buzzing with the news that we had our own Soup Nazi.
