Hi Jose,
In case you're unaware of this "feature", alpha systems can boot from
disks as if they're CDs. For example:
# dd if=foo.iso of=/dev/sda
# halt
Then at the SRM prompt, boot from the appropriate disk. The SRM will
recognize the iso image and boot from it as if it were a CD-ROM. This
can be extremely useful for testing iso images.
Just be careful you don't overwrite a disk you care about, of course.
