<p>LA PRAIRIE, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - May 16, 2007) - The Board of Directors of Vantex Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:VTX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Francois Marcotte to the position of Investor and Public Relations for the Company. Mr. Marcotte, a graduate of Laval University in biology and in economics, brings more than ten years of Investor and Public Relations experience, having previously held that position with public companies in the resource sector. The one-year contract includes monthly payments of $2,000 and the grant of 250,000 stock options at $0.165 cents, valid for five years, subject to the approval of the TSX Venture.</p>
<p/>
<p>"We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Marcotte on our team and look forward to benefit from his knowledge of capital markets and experience in the resource industry," said Guy Morissette, CEO of Vantex.</p>

<p>As Manager of Investor and Public Relations, Mr. Marcotte will be responsible for the company's relations with the investing community as well as for the development of strategic measures, like a presence in different mining shows, to ensure effective communication of corporate values and goals.</p>
