SVNserve --root

I've added this line to inetd

# SVN repository
svn stream tcp nowait svn /usr/bin/svnserve svnserve -i --root=/usr/share

But now when I try to remotly checkout: 

|jamez7.:(504):.dev.> svn list svn+ssh://jamez7@dev.someserver.com/gde_core    
svn: No repository found in 'svn+ssh://jamez7@dev.someserver.com/gde_core'

But the following WORKS

|jamez7.:(505):.dev.> svn list svn+ssh://jamez7@dev.gdesolutions.com/usr/share/gde_core

Any ideas?

I'm using SVN 1.32 on FreeBSD
