Air86 asked an excellent question.
In simple words I repeat the question here.
" Do you think the skills learnt during an M.Tech degree necessarily
improve the industry?"
I do not want to give a truely yes or no answer to this question.
Because I saw two different kinds of people during my career.
person-1
One guy is just a B.Tech. He worked on lot of chips (ASICs) and
now he is earning 25 lacs per year. He is one of my great friend and
when I propose the M.Tech idea he almost kills me. In his view
M.Tech is a real waste.
Persn-2
Another guy did M.Tech from IITM in EE, and he didn't get into
MNC. So he joined in a third grade company for 2 lacs per year.
Well, I didn't ask him if doing M.Tech "was" a right choice for him
or not, but he feels OK with his job as he didn't get any job after
B.Tech.
So we get enough confusion if we look at these persons.
If you want to be like person-1, or you want 25 lacs per year,
you need not have M.Tech.
