We are pleased to announce that after days and hours of really hard work from nightwatch, the first "Hello World" program successfully compiled and ran on the iPhone. Please check [url] for more information about the ARM/Mach-O toolchain, nightwatch's baby :P We'd also like to thank Tmiw as well for his contributions in this tricky process.
The assembler is not yet fully completed, but we just achieved an important milestone.
We usually prefer not to emphasize a single individual, but considering he almost did it all on his own we're going to break our own rule. As a side note, for those who didn't know, nightwatch was also the original author/inventor of the jail exploit (while working with some other folks for the reverse engineering), which allowed us to do so much so far.
