Let's suppose you have the following in your CSS.
a,a:hover,a:visited {color: #ffffff;}
a.black,a.black:hover,a.black:visted {color: #000000;}
div#contentwrap.white {background: #ffffff; color: #000000;}
Now, let's suppose you have the following code.
<div id="contentwrap" class="white">
<p><a class="black" href="pressrelease.php?id=2">Headline Concludes Record Year</a><br />
2006-06-27</p>
<p><a class="black" href="pressrelease.php?id=1">HEADLINE HAS RECORD FIRST QUARTER</a><br />
2006-05-24</p>
<div class="clearer"></div>
</div>
Your links should be black, but they are white. Checking DOM Inspector shows the only rule applying to your links is the first one about anchors being white. But you specifically denoted in the code that it should be black. Why is it ignoring you?
