Tengo instalado actualmente:
samba-3.0.25a,1
samba-libsmbclient-3.0.25a_1
Tengo instalado el samba con soporte para quota:
# make config
Options for samba 3.0.25a_1,1
[X] LDAP With LDAP support
[X] ADS With Active Directory support
[X] CUPS With CUPS printing support
[X] WINBIND With WinBIND support
[X] ACL_SUPPORT With ACL support
[X] QUOTAS With Disk quota support
[X] UTMP With UTMP accounting support
[X] POPT With system-wide POPT library
Usando el manual
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/quotas.html
Active el soporte de quotas en el kernel con esta opcion
# Custom kernels
options QUOTA
En el /etc/rc.conf tengo esto:
# Activamos QUOTAS
enable_quotas="YES"
#check_quotas="NO"
Edite el /etc/fstab y especifique en que particiones quiero el quotas
# Device Mountpoint FStype Options Dump Pass#
/dev/da0s1b none swap sw 0 0
/dev/da0s1a / ufs rw 1 1
/dev/da0s1e /tmp ufs rw 2 2
/dev/da0s1f /usr ufs rw 2 2
/dev/da0s1d /var ufs rw 2 2
/dev/acd0 /cdrom cd9660 ro,noauto 0 0
/dev/acd1 /cdrom1 cd9660 ro,noauto 0 0
/dev/da1s1d /home/hd1 ufs rw,userquota 0 0
/dev/da2s1d /home/hd2 ufs rw 0 0
Luego de tener instalado el nuevo kernel, de tener los archivos configurados y reiniciar...
trato de activar o parar el servicio asi:
Iniciarlo (por si no arranco al inicio)
alpha# quotaon -a
/home/hd1: not mounted
alpha#
pararlo (por si ya estaba iniciado)
alpha# quotaoff -a
/home/hd1: not mounted
alpha#
Segun el mensaje "/home/hd1: not mounted" es como si esa particion no estubiera montada, pero efectivamente lo esta
alpha# cd /home/hd1
alpha# ls
.Trash-0 CD-ROM3 documentos k3b tmp
.snap apps fonts musica unix
.thunderbird backups grupos programas usuarios
