<Eimsr> it's equivalent to the 4500 series... but the hp had a bigger fabric & lower latency... plus a butt-load more configurability/options
<BSDaemon^|work2> ew, 4500 series
<BSDaemon^|work2> yuck
<Eimsr> ... SEE! hp > cisco for that type of switch.
<BSDaemon^|work2> http://www.internetworkpro.org/wiki/Criticism_of_the_Catalyst_4500 <--- suck
<Eimsr> the 4500 DO suck... this I know... but for the size/module ness/etc... the HP procurve 4100 series kicked it's ass.
<BSDaemon^|work2> Eimsr: what kind of interfaces are you using?
<Eimsr> anyhow... I am using it for 12-vlans... gigabit to servers and each site... and 10/100 for some LAN connections.
<BSDaemon^|work2> ah, you should use 3750E's for that
<Eimsr> BSDaemon^|work2... I would have... but the 3750E's didn't have as big of a fabric.
<Eimsr> too much "daisy-chaining"
<BSDaemon^|work2> umm whats the fabric on the HP procurve?
<Eimsr> 8gbps
<BSDaemon^|work2> cool. 3750s are 128Gbps with a 32Gbps Stackwise+ ring.
<Eimsr> fibber.
<BSDaemon^|work2> hahaha riiight
