this emerges all fonts:

TETTEN=`emerge -s font | grep -B3 "Not Installed" | grep "media-fonts" | grep -v "Masked" | awk '{print $2}'` && for PACKAGE in $TETTEN; do emerge --nodeps $PACKAGE; done 


this lists all the installed fonts so you can cp them in xorg.conf:

TETTEN=`ls -l /usr/share/fonts/ | grep ^d | awk {'print $9'}` && for DIR in $TETTEN; do echo -e "FontPath\t\"/usr/share/fonts/$DIR/\""; done
