 I'm using opensim and opensl on linux - attempting to connect to my own grid server - using MySQL database as a backend. Detailed below are the steps I'm taking to try and do this, including both the commands i'm using at the console to start the various servers - along with the output/logfiles that are produced.

First I start the Userserver with:

cd /home/archive/open_secondlife/opensim/bin/ ; mono OpenGridServices.UserServer.exe

which gives the following console output:

Starting...

ServerConsole.cs - creating new local console
Logs will be saved to current directory in opengrid-userserver-console.log
Main.cs:Startup() - Loading configuration
Loading Db40Config dll
Config.cs:InitConfig() - Found a UserConfig object in the local database, loading
User settings loaded:
Default startup message: Welcome to OGS
Grid server URL: http://127.0.0.1:8001/
Key to send to grid: null
Key to expect from grid: null
Main.cs:Startup() - Establishing data connection
Userstorage: Attempting to load OpenGrid.Framework.Data.MySQL.dll
Userstorage: Found 5 interfaces.
MySQL connection established
Userstorage: Added IUserData Interface
Main.cs:Startup() - Starting HTTP process
BaseHttpServer.cs: Starting up HTTP Server

Then I start the GridServer with:
cd /home/archive/open_secondlife/opensim/bin/ ; mono OpenGridServices.GridServer.exe

which gives the following console output:

Then I start OpenSL with:

cd /home/archive/open_secondlife/opensl/linden/indra ; cp ../scripts/messages/message_template.msg newview/app_settings/ ; ( cd newview && LD_LIBRARY_PATH=../../libraries/i686-linux/lib_release_client:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}:/usr/local/lib  ./secondlife-i686-bin -loginuri http://127.0.0.1:8002 -user http://127.0.0.1)

Which starts up the open secondlife client - waiting at the login screen

I then go back to the User Server console and do:

create user
First name:
test
Last name:
test
Password
test
Start Region X:
128
Start Region Y:
128

Then I go to the open SL client and try to login as user test with the password test - setting destination sim to OpenSim Island

Which gives the following console output:

At this stage I'm lost - as i'm unable to ascertain wether it's the servers, client, or the way I'm starting the client thats causing the problem.

I'm quite happy to post further config and output files - If it will enable me to resolve my connction problems.

I'd appreciate any help that might help me resolve this problem.
