ketilwaa i have to disagree with that whole idea. This was supposed to be
a new merged project. Not a get rid of Beryl and join the compiz project.
We have a very nice working community here. I haven't seen one single developer
in this community agree to or like the idea you propose. We are not compiz. We
are a plugins and application community. The merger was intended to be a merger
of development of these plugins and applications. Which the devs here have been
working on. I can tell you that because of the negative attitude in the ML, most devs
here don't even bother to read it anymore. There is a big disconnect with what the
compiz guy's want to do and the intended idea of a merger. After reading the ML
myself for the past few months and , listening to the comments by users and devs
in IRC, many people are not happy about the way the compiz guy's have basically
argued this merger to death. Just to get things done their way. I am not saying
they are right or wrong. But i am saying that people are getting tired of the attitude.
So in essence. It seems to me that it is best to stay where we are and continue to do
what we have been doing. Supporting user's with the best plugins and apps.
