[16:41:43] <doggkruse> close enough to stop by for shits and giggles?
[16:42:12] <Fishman> not quite, but mostly because my car's alignment is fubar
[16:42:29] <Fishman> huh. the apple start page is unavailable

[16:42:50] <doggkruse> I'm just curios what the 802.11n chipset is in the new mbp's
[16:42:55] <doggkruse> and if we need to change stuff
[16:43:23] <Fishman> very good question. i wonder if it would be in the docs filed with the fcc ;-)
[16:43:31] <Fishman> btw, have you seen our forums?
[16:43:50] <doggkruse> only slightly
[16:43:58] <doggkruse> when tmu drags me there ;)
[16:44:27] <Fishman> you should register so you can post an update about what 239 does and doesn't do ;-)
[16:44:43] <doggkruse> it does nothing
[16:44:47] <doggkruse> is someone asking?
[16:44:54] <Fishman> no, but someone always does...
[16:44:58] <Jasarien> when is 10.4.10 out?
[16:44:58] <doggkruse> lol
[16:45:02] <doggkruse> I don't know
[16:45:09] <doggkruse> I have an adc membership
[16:45:16] <doggkruse> and it broke km for me
[16:45:21] <doggkruse> so I fixed it
[16:45:53] <Fishman> yay for fixes before they're needed for the general population
[16:46:10] <doggkruse> heh
[16:46:11] <Fishman> see, that's what needs to be specified ;-)
[16:46:16] <doggkruse> I also have the airport api under nda
[16:46:20] <doggkruse> :o
[16:46:51] <Fishman> oooh

[16:47:43] <Fishman> hey, you're the one that made the commit! ;-)
[16:47:58] <doggkruse> the name of the airport card changed from AirPort_Athr5424 to AirPort_Athr5424ab
[16:48:03] <doggkruse> lamo if you ask me
[16:48:10] <Fishman> incredibly

[17:13:09] <samadam> hrm
[17:17:17] <samadam> why are driver names so far indented to the right in the preferences?
[17:24:15] <samadam> and now I seem to be getting random output
[17:24:56] <Fishman> samadam: driver prefs are something maybe geoff or themacus1r could answer
[17:25:41] <Fishman> random output usually means (for me) that i need to reset the device. if it's usb, unplug and reconnect (with kismac closed) is simple. AE might require a cold boot.
[17:29:52] <samadam> yeah, i got it working
[17:30:01] <samadam> i am bored so i am fooling around in the code
[17:30:29] <doggkruse> samadam: good for you
[17:30:31] <samadam> how about this: why isn't it counting uivs?
[17:30:37] <samadam> it is getting data packets
[17:30:43] <Fishman> if you come across anything good, submit a ticket with a patch ;-)
[17:30:43] <samadam> with LastIV showing
[17:30:46] <Fishman> "it" ?
[17:30:54] <Fishman> what chipset?
[17:31:02] <samadam> the Unique IVs row
[17:31:05] <doggkruse> samadam: your guess is as good as mine
[17:31:37] <samadam> i would think it just takes the most recent one, compares it against a list of the ones we already have and increments a counter and adds it to the list if it is new
[17:31:48] <samadam> but i will have to look around a bit more
[17:31:51] <Fishman> what chipset?
[17:32:15] <samadam> uh, wusb54g
[17:32:21] <samadam> so...rt2570
[17:32:21] <samadam> ?
[17:32:30] <Fishman> if it's v4, yeah
[17:32:33] <samadam> yeah
[17:32:41] <doggkruse> :o
[17:32:45] <Fishman> is there traffic on the network?
[17:32:46] <doggkruse> that sounds like my fault
[17:32:50] <samadam> yeah
[17:32:52] <doggkruse> is it wep?
[17:32:56] <samadam> no
[17:33:06] <doggkruse> well there you go :D
[17:33:13] <doggkruse> no iv's on non-wep
[17:33:25] <samadam> then that LastIV row is misleading
[17:33:29] <samadam> not that it matters
[17:33:31] <doggkruse> right
[17:33:37] <doggkruse> the bug is its showing the last iv
[17:33:42] <doggkruse> when really it shouldn't
[17:33:49] <samadam> well, that's something I can try to fix
[17:33:51] <doggkruse> because its not really an iv
[17:33:58] <doggkruse> :D
[17:34:20] <samadam> i want to get this working for when I go on vacation later so I can get wifi at my condo
[17:34:49] <Fishman> don't tell us you're trying to use someone else's network -.-
[17:34:50] <doggkruse> lol
[17:34:58] <samadam> ah yes
[17:35:00] <doggkruse> unless it is with whisher ;)
[17:35:08] <Fishman> good point
[17:35:08] <samadam> well, i am on my own right now
[17:35:27] <samadam> i tried to switch to to wep to test, but my other computers didn't like that
[17:35:33] <samadam> maybe later tonigh
[17:36:14] <samadam> this is obj-C, right?
[17:37:21] <doggkruse> samadam: mostly
[17:37:26] <doggkruse> there is some c++ in the drivers
[17:37:28] <samadam> its freaking me out
[17:37:42] <doggkruse> lol
[17:38:13] <Fishman> doggkruse: is there any chance you have some time to look through the recen tickets and close some that are people being foolish, duplicate, or already dealt with?
[17:38:34] <doggkruse> Fishman: maybe
[17:39:08] <Fishman> i've done what little i can, but i suspect there's more that are merely operator error or similar
[17:39:24] <doggkruse> yeah
