It was that of a beautiful day in the kingdom. How she wished she could have seen such a place sooner and bask in the joys of such beautiful mornings. Dressed in the same bit of clothing she wore the day before, herself not having much in the way of clothing in general, she rested comfortably upon her pearl white mare. Today, though, she was a tad more nervous than before. Things were getting more serious as the awe of the situation began to fade and the realization of what was going on began to strike her. She waited for suitors to speak and speeches to have, taking a deep breath before she began her own speech.

“Dear King, if I may.” She said, her solider tone once more overtaking her vocal chords. “The lesson I would teach your daughter, the future Queen of this land, is a lesson of tolerance.” She closed her eyes for a bit, collecting her thoughts and her wording. “And to say this in advance, I am speaking explicitly of the human race with the issues I will be presenting. I do not wish to offend those of other lands though I am sure one may be able to relate with what I may say.” Another deep breath, this one accompanied by a wince.

“Many a time have our race gone to war over that which may be deemed reckless and wrong. Wars have started over such things as loss of land, the hand of princesses, words exchanged, threats given to kingdoms, misunderstandings of trade, and many other reasons. And all of this comes back to that of tolerance. We view other kingdoms, other people, other races as inferior and worthless. And with our kind, we view ourselves much higher than them and with that we feel entitled to what they have. We are unable to tolerate other cultures or customs given to us as a general whole. We would rather destroy others who are not like us rather than learn their ways.”

She seemed to loose her place and paused. “My apologies. My words sometimes have more trouble coming out of my mouth than more of the nobles that are gathered with us. What I was trying to get at Sir, is that humans only will tolerate themselves and that in which is in their immediate environment. For example, if we find land that we can not tolerate due to marshes or woods. We destroy it. If we discover a culture that we deem primitive to ours, we try to assimilate them. If they refuse, we destroy them because we can not tolerate their ways. If a prince wishes the hand of a princess in another kingdom and she refuses, he will go to war with that kingdom because he can not tolerate rejection. If we would, as a race, tolerate more than just our selfs, our bloodline, and our kingdom, we would be able to live in harmony with that of the land and those about us. If there is only one lesson to be taught to your daughter, the future Queen of this land, it is tolerance. If not to to be able to show a kind heart to others, then to be able to try and harmonize those who she may come in contact with and life with rather than against them.”

With her speech finished, she gently tugged on the reins of her mare and slowly trotted behind the rest of the suitors, her peace being spoken, though not to the level in which she thought. She emitted a small sigh, her head gently dropping a little bit, though masked by the many suitors that surrounded her.
