In the book the great Gatsby the conflict of this book is between Gatsby and tom in the hotel room when it is let out about the affair. The rising action to this conflict was the actions taking by daisy and Gatsby at his house where they had the affair and the more blatant showing of this towards the begging of this scene. The conflict was solved by daisy and tom leaving the room where the argument took place and the death of Gatsby by an estranged farmer. Who's wife was killed when daisy ran over her.
The book guns up conflict was the Vietnam war and the characters john and chan's plight through the war. The whole rising action in the book is boot camp and the first days in Vietnam where they learned the ropes. The events leading up to the war with the bombing of us fleets the invasion of communism and everything else. The solution to the conflict for john and chan was become injured three times in Vietnam so the become shipped home.
The catcher and the rye, in this book the main character holden is in new york by him self chilling out and his man conflict is his own teenage problems and look out on the world he lives in. The slow rising action to his mental break down is the people he runs into in new york and the eruption of all his instable personalty at once. The solution that came from this was to ship him into a crazy house where he sat and wrote his story that u read to help him get better

The book that i read this year and enjoyed was the zombie survival guide. This guide is very informative in all ways of zombie survival from the desise to housing to weapons and even transportation. Showed me what i should store for eats how to fortify myself in the chance of an attack. Discovered about old attacks that occurred and the survivors that lived though it. The best choice of weapon for the fighting and defending , entertainment for when u where held up. There are guides on how to deal with your squad your in how to do it while your alone. How to get out and to transportation from your fortification. The only way to kill a zombie is severe brunt force truma. These where the themes of the book that really stood out for me and i got into the most
The reason i connected with this book so much is i had such a interest in zombies to begin with from zombie movies like resident evil dawn of the dead night of the living dead. To video games with zombies as the main enemy of the protagonist . I have always died to know how to handle this threat in rreality and this book gave me my answer. The author is the son of the well known actor mel brooks so of course i had to read it. The amount of detail given was so useful and really keept me into the book.

The three main protagonist that i choose to compare and contrast are holden,John Clarke, Gatsby.
Holden and Gatsby where both rich people they had anything money could by but the one thing they wanted they couldn't get with money. While john was modest man with middle class earnings. John and Gatsby both fought in a war which changed their life forever and the people who where involved in their life. Yet holden was ak id so he could never be in events like such.
All the characters where men with a issue of loss at their hands with Gatsby it was his true love, with holden it was his sanity and with john it was his civilian life he left behind. Each man had loss something dire to them during the events in the book they couldn't do anything bout it. The one thing that set holden apart is his defiantness of the order in which people live by trying to drink at his age smoke and even call up hookers these are the things that Gatsby and john didn't do as the tried to follow the social routine. U have john who joined the military n his on want not by draft and met a friend their who would be with him for the rest of his life, chan. Gatsby did not have this, he had all the power in the world but that didn't protect him from one mans jealousy which in the end killed him and his dreams.
All these characters compare and contrast to a extant as all people in life do. Though compare is always more vague then contrast is as people are very different from each other. In a good work ofl iture the main character is gonna be a hard cookie to compare to another character. This is very obvious in these three works of literature that i choose. They are and where comparable still.
