In the Transmission Project, we make try to make sure that the client is as stable as possible. In the month since the release of version 0.72, we have had over 200,000 downloads, and we have received very few complaints. The worst thing we have found is that the UPnP/NAT traversal feature has stopped working for some users. Surely 200,000 people testers can't be wrong?
As for Transmission not being a "real client" because it currently lacks both file selection and encryption - both features are in the final stages of development, and should make it into 0.80, but not before they have undergone extensive testing. I look forward to Transmission being unbanned again, and I hope that a few smart mouthed users don't get in the way of it.
