What is the religion Islam? (A very right choice or a bad one). What are Muslims and their character? I will not say much by myself, you will know if you think and explore If you are curious about the meaning of life, Please do read!
I am a simple and ordinary person of this world, with no big scholarly knowledge but I have started to understand what it really is, because I Do Not Believe What Others (Media, T.V, or People) tell me. I dont see manipulated programs about Muslims and Islam on T.V, BUT I try to think and explore facts by my own self. Did you ever read the Holy book of Islam, The Quran? Did you ever tried to know principles and teachings of Islam? We just believe what others make us see. But I have stopped doing it. Media and televisions are instruments of humans and they can be tempered easy. If we keep repeating a lie, it seems like a big truth doesnt it? But have you ever investigated. .If I own CNN for example, I can tell any thing I want! And wouldnt the world believe it? Yes surely it will. Making tampered videos is no big deal now.
It is a great monopoly my friends I would say dont believe any one, not even me, but think by your own self.
Have you ever thought why Islam is The Most Fast Growing Religion in the World? Every body has it own mind and senses to think what is right and what is wrong. Than why almost every person embraces Islam when he/she starts knowing it and its principles and teachings in detail?
There are true facts behind it. Its sound principles Truth, Modesty, Fairness, Harmlessness, Integrity and co relationships, Brotherhood, Helping and caring others, Unity, Faith and Discipline. This it the only religion which takes these things to such and greater extend. For example there are five pillars, the basic tenets of Islam on which its body stands are:
1. Belief in Allah and in Muhammad as his last Prophet. Allah is the sole owner, ruler and creator of this universe. He is the most powerful. None is comparable with Him. He is not dependent to sleep or rest, to have a body (He is a (Arabic word=Noor) meaning light, energy), or for any assistance to control or organize this world and its activities, He has no father, son, brothers, sisters, or relatives.
Well I heard some religions say a statue or tree or a stone or sun is God. How? A statue or tree or a stone cant even protect its own self, Sun disappears when night starts. Than how can they be God?
Secondly, Allah sent many prophets to earth (which includes Jesus) so that they could tell us who Allah really is and what are His teachings. For that, here were lots of books revealed too, but were changed, manipulated and tampered by people to suit their own needs and wants. There were approximately 124000 prophets on earth of which The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the last, with the last Book Quran (The Book of which Allah took guarantee that no one could change it). The previous books were now void (which includes bible as it was changed and is now in its original state in present time).
2. Is Prayer for Allah. As He alone deserves praise. Prayer for Him 5 times a day.
3. Is Charity, alms giving to people who are needy and poor. As Islam is the religion of cooperation and brotherhood. As it says every person is a brother to the other.
4. Is Fasting. Almost all the other religions do this. (Jesus fasted for 40 days). Its is abstaining from food drink and sex during the one month of Ramazan. From sun rise to sun set. This is not as self torture but is to establish self control and self resistance in life!
5. Is making a pilgrimage to Makkah to Kaaba (house of God) once in life, IF circumstances permit, e.g financially.
Lastly I would keenly desire to eliminate misunderstanding about Muslims.
As above, you have read a rough sketch of the teachings, you would have guessed that Islam is the religion of peace. Not violence and harming any one without any reason.
Islam surely condemns terrorist activities greatly. A true Muslim would never indulge in such acts, and who ever does is not amongst true Muslims.
Again I would say, Media has manipulated and brain washed many people with its monopolies.
People have played monopoly with the word Jihad which in Islam only means to fight in the way of Allah. For a good cause. Not to harm any innocent. Only fight with those who fight and give harm.
See our book ! The Quran. There is Nowhere written to hurt innocent people and fight without reason and cause.
Love and ware are part of life but in Islam, are done for the right reason and cause.
I would say again. Dont believe any one. Not even me. Research and explore by your own self. See Quran, Islamic books, and you will know what Islam and Muslims really are. This may change your life!
