tl;dr is at the bottom but you will read everything or else1. I follow YB, we all do, but I do not do it blindly. where he is wrong, we can absolutely criticise and he is a big boy who will take it on board. same for all of you.RIP is YB. he does the most out of anyone and sacrifices when he really doesn't need to. he is also human and makes mistakes. of course we should have his back. we can respect him and also hold him to account 2. I do not care about looking stupid in front of anyone. I think we agree that it wasn't the best idea to discuss this in AC and it could be kept private. I also understand why that was done. on the other hand, this is a response to saying that "many people are unhappy but they only say it in DMs". if anyone is unhappy with any of us, they must feel safe to be able to speak up. we also should not be backbiting and stirring up trouble in DMs then creating division in leadership. I hear there is a valid concern but this was not the best way to bring it up, with little passive aggressive digs constantly. it became too difficult to ignore. neither was right. neither is helpful or acceptable. we will stop doing both.if violent angel was unhappy how she was spoken to, I completely understand that and she deserves an apology and we can put it right. vaguely criticising everything in general isn't right.3. for my part, I will apologise when I'm wrong and if I have spoken to anyone disrespectfully but I will also discuss and defend myself where I believe I am right. I do not take this as a personal attack and am open to all criticism that is focussed on improving matters. you know that I was very happy to have convinced beeruss to come back. despite some people here not liking the idea. and he proved them right. the minute someone insults us like that, they are no longer a phoenix. sorry.4. Marbell was blunt with me and I was blunt right back. he explained that he was frustrated at himself, not me. we both apologised and now we're good. I will not hear another word said about what Marbell did. this is non-negotiable. he did his time and we have moved on. do not bring it up again please or I will be upset with you for real.5. threatening to leave the server is not helpful. no matter who is doing it. saying the alliance will not last or people will leave or "go talk with the big boys and real leadership" all these digs are not helpful. no matter who is doing it, we will stop it.6. there is a big difference between a temporary kick, a week timeout and being kicked from the alliance permanently. temporary kicking is the only thing that works sometimes. as a last resort, yes but definitely needed in some cases.7. we have also confused two different concerns here. some users are unhappy about the saving rules. but they are unhappy with the server. not RIP and our rules. Dessy said it, Sliph said it, Ryan said it etc.these rules are not negotiable. not because Big Bad NAP says so. because these are our server rules. if anyone doesn't follow them, they will be warned and then kicked as we have agreed. even if they're Elric. no exceptions.if anyone does not agree with this they are leaving the server and we wish them well. nothing wrong with that at all. there's nothing more to discuss there. every 585 alliance is the same and many other servers are too. there is no tone or way of saying it politely. the rules are the rules and they must be enforced on everyone equally. anything else is not fair and I will not allow unfairness and injustice.9. everyone is free to play however they want and act however they want but as in life, your own personal freedom of choice ends at the point that it affects others. when someone's actions negatively affect the alliance, they are no longer free to do whatever they want.10. MrKuder is mistaken. we never agreed that saving for kvk is only a suggestion and we will not enforce it. we did not lose our way. I am the one who explained in great detail to everyone in AC so I know for a fact that I definitely did not say any of that.I have also never said that he doesn't care. it is not acceptable for him to say its ok for him to overspend because he has informed in advance. what? its ok to do whatever I want as long as I let you know first? ok, he will be attacked but they just have to say, 'haha, sorry, I know this is wrong and you don't agree to be attacked but I'm going to attack you, ok? haha, ok cool. don't dare say that I don't care!, I care, ok!' he can do what he wants but not when it affects others.10. we all understand that we need rules and we accept having them. that is not in question. what is in question is how we enforce the rules. I will also say, we have always had rules. saying we didn't in DzL days is mis-remembering.11. I agree there have been occasions where we have gotten frustrated at people and they have felt like they weren't spoken to right. this is normal, we are human beings. it is understandable but that doesn't make it justified. I understand both sides. we must have compassion for ourselves too. we must also apologise to people when we said something in the heat of frustration. no exceptions here. that doesn't mean no rules, it means we don't rip someone's head off for a first offence when it's something minor. fair?12. we've always had an atmosphere of clowning around but when it comes to events, we have to have a bit of seriousness and play the actual game. we have usually had that balance right and it seems the perception of it has changed. I hear you. we will address this and fix it.13. the enforcement of rules gets harder depending on how innefective it has been.again, there is a big difference between someone that makes a genuine mistake but asks questions and for help and wants to learn and understand and do better vs someone that is breaking rules maliciously, knowing they are hurting everyone and being unfair but just not caring vs someone who is just in their own world, oblivious to everything.if obscyra or someone like that makes a mistake, we have always taken our time to explain carefully. I have kicked her till after an event multiple times over the year. no exceptions. but her treatment will be different to Leo87 who has never said a word and isn't interested in learning and different to beeruss who knows fine well what he is doing and just doesn't care about us. the latter two are not phoenixes. love and explaning gently does not work on them. we give chances and love and respect to those that give us respect. not to those that ignore us or insult us. that has not changed.that has never been our ethos. everyone in every alliance remembers being kicked during cesares. and you know what, they learned and they were not kicked again. we've been doing this a year now though. if 90% get it, the other 10% just haven't done a cesares yet, I will absolutely take the time to calmly give them the same experience. I do not get mad at all. I kick for a good reason and it is justified. yes, they need different leadership but more like we led people when they were new. we did not give people unlimited chances back then. we have not changed. we are just dealing with some users who are new to the game. that's completely ok.14. so we don't start with kicks or do it out of nowhere. if after a year of being nice and saying it five different ways, we will absolutely kick and re-invite to get attention. if you disagree with this, you must give an alternative suggestion to that specific scenario. doing nothing and giving unlimited chances is not an option. we can take a vote but I do not agree with that and I will give my reasons.15. yes, I absolutely have a vision but it is not my vision alone. we are a team and are all included and are trying to improve together. when everyone is quiet and does nothing and gives no opinions, I will pick up the slack. if you have an opinion or want to put in some effort and improve something, please, dig in. more than welcome. I would really appreciate your help. please.yes, I absolutely want us to improve. we have always wanted to improve. if anyone is actively against improving then I'm at a loss what to tell them. we want to hold ourselves back from being better? then what is the point of continuing to play?we used to do bear so badly. should we have kept everything the same as way back then? this is nothing to do with KOR or NAP and everything to do with RIP. we try to improve or else the game is just repetitive and boring and stale. we compete with our past self. every events, we do better than last time. 16. if we want to be a farm alliance, we already have DzL we can go chill in. again, that is not passive aggressive. its completely genuine. no one has to have the stress of improving but they also should not be inconsiderate and affect others' enjoyment of the game. that is not fair either.and so you know, KOR can't even introduce limits on bear. they got pushback from their users who want to score the best they can and screw everyone else. screw the weakest players. they're not a team like RIP is. we said let's try it and it's going amazingly well. if we have to kick to get it even better, we should. but bear is not my event17. if we can't even get the most basic event right or follow a couple of instructions even when they're commuicated endlessly, don't we want to fix that first?in vikings, you can have tactics like splitting into teams and reinforcing in groups. I would really like to try that. I think it would be fun and keep it from being so repetitive and could get us to #1 in the scores. but here's my whole concern. if we can't even get 'one troop' right yet then there's no chance of being able to try more complex tactics. what do you suggest we do?18. YB wants to be able to try things but feels ignored. I try to help get people on board. then some think that's tyranny. we have to strike the right balance. neither extreme is right. but we definitely need to do something to improve, not nothing and stagnate. I do not want that. I will not stick around for that.19. I do not see being R4 as a reward or promotion or recognition of someone. even if someone is great in one event or gives a lot to the alliance or is active, I don't think that means they should be made an R4 whether they want it or not.it is not about power, it's about responsiblity and serving others. some people don't want that or to lead and just want to play the game themselves. that's ok.we have given up on asking for help or for people to take responsibility for an event. I propose we demote everyone to R3 and actually ask them if they want to take on responsibility. anyone who doesn't want to, that is completely ok. no one is forced to do anything except play the dumb game themselves. myself included. I still like them, they can give opinions in discussions but I know that active or not, we definitely do not need ten R4s.999. tl;dr as a starting point, the two options right now are:A: we should not kick people for being asleep and we should give them unlimited chances and keep trying to reach them when they ignore, no matter how many times or how futile that is.vs,B: we should kick after a certain point but we need to discuss what the reasonable point is.
