Ever since I was a little boy I have been pampered and spoiled. Whenever there was a difficult task in front of me, I knew that even if I gave up nothing bad would happen, and my parents or someone in my family would help me out. While I knew I had, what I see now as a terrible imperfection, in the back of my mind, I still lived a carefree life. Throughout my high school years I always knew there was someone to help me or that there was time for me to correct my errors, so I didn’t worry. This same idea stuck with me during my stay at the University of Buffalo. However those two years of partying and neglecting school work at the university finally caught up to me and made me realize that if I don't get my act together I will probably fall into a hole that I can never get out of. I also realized that now that I am more than twenty years old, my parents can no longer do much for me other than to pay for things I cannot afford. If I continue to slack off my parents are just throwing away money that they have earned. While it is a terrible thing to waste your parents' money, what is really important is not about wasting money, but to stop myself from being useless so I can have a good career to support my future self and family. If I can't right my wrongs, then no one can. I suppose what I am trying to say is that I am a man who really isn't perfect, but I have woken up and realized where my imperfection lies, and am now striving to better myself.
