It was just another rainy day – lazing around the house with nothing to do but watch TV. The clouds had gathered over the blue sky like a curtain over a window, and there was no sun to swim under. The pool, as attractive as it looked with a bright blue sparkling colour was icy cold and no where near suitable to swim in. just a day to watch TV. As Tommy and I sat in front of the goggle box it displayed dull images of opera talking to an ex Ku Klux Klan member, or fuzzy little dinosaurs buzzing around in Barnie the Dinosaur. Msn was blank except for the odd random whom I’d met in random conversations. IT really was a dull day. Then came on The Bold and the Beautiful.

‘It was another episode of cheesy and terrible acting.’ Sighed Tommy.
Except something was different. So noticeable, my cat – miggums looked up. There was some decent acting! Except it was all in black and white! Such a nice surprise destroyed by the black and white. What a shame! We were so entertained by the show, that we didn’t notice the colour of the room, or the colour of the outside changing to a dull shade of black and white. As the surprisingly fantastic acting came to an end, we looked up. And were shocked. Everything was black and white. It was clear. Tommy and I had to set off on an adventure to turn the world colour again.

So Tommy and I thought. What could possibly turn the world colour? And then it hit us. A RAINBOW! How to make a rainbow? Tommy said some rain. That wasn’t original enough for me. Maybe… a leprechaun! That was it! A short little Irish-man chachachahchacha. Where would I find a leprechaun? For the rest of the day, that’s what I thought about. It hit me (it’s starting to hurt being hit all the time) ‘I recon we could find one in east Uzbekistan under a 4 leaf clover’ Says I. So we headed off.

On our trip to East Uzbekistan, Tommy and I look through books filled with different types of four leafed clovers. There were different coloured ones, which were extremely hard to distinguish in the dull back and white shades of the world. As we were driving though South Mexico in a broken old bus, the main town we passed looked like a cheesy 1950’s movie, with some Mexican cowbows about to draw in a duel. Rather funny ol’ Tommy and I thought.

After 5 months, 3 weeks, 23 days, 55 hours, 100 Minutes, 73 seconds and 1004 long milliseconds, we finally made it to east Uzbekistan. A dusty old sight (and a boring one in the black and white) but we made it! Straight away, we started picking around the billions of clovers for the ones with an amazing mutation. AN EXTRA LEAF! DUM DUM DUM. But seriously, this was gonna take us a while – and it did. Over 5 months, 3 weeks, 23 days, 55 hours, 100 Minutes, 73 seconds and 1004 long milliseconds to be precise. It took a long time. In the distance (on the 1005th millisecond, I saw a huge thing with 4 leaves – it had to be a giant 4 leaf clover. Tommy and I ran over and checked it out. It was so big, it even had a door and felt strangely like an artificial one built for a theme park. We entered. A small voice came out of no where. ‘WHAT DE BLUDGE AR YE DOIN IN ME HOUT?? (What are you doing in my hut kind sir?)’. We looked down and there was the leprechaun we had strived to find. Sitting in a pile of it’s own puke. It was clearly drunk, but we persisted with our offer: ‘Mr Leprechaun guy, we would like to propose an offer to you’ Insisted Tommy. ‘WILL YA BE GETTING ME SOME MORE O DE GOOD STUFF? I NEED ME BEER!’ Tommy and I returned 7 minutes and 163 seconds later with a huge pint of beer – enough to subdue the ugly midget for a while. ‘We need you to turn our world colour again’ continued Tommy. ‘Oh CHACHACHACHA DAT WOULD BE *HiC* NAR A PROLEEM! IT WEEL REKWIRE SOME RITUAL ALTHOUGH! *HiC* I NEED A WOODEN SHOO FILLED WID BEER THOUGH. I ALSO NEED 14 DAISIES AND FOR GAWDS SAKE CHILD SOME MORE BEER!’ As Tommy and I returned with our arms filled with a truckload of beer and me wearing the wooden shoe, we stumbled back to his 4 leaf clover house. The daisies turned out to be for the midget’s life long dream – to make a daisy chain for his head. He trank the keg full of beer, and then snapped his fingers. Suddenly we were in a tiny green room – not black and white! We hugged the little Leprechaun til he nearly choked and skipped out the door. 5 months, 3 weeks, 23 days, 55 hours, 100 Minutes, 73 seconds and 1004 long milliseconds later, we were back home in our living room with nothing to do but watch the Bold and the Beautiful
