A note on filenames for use on video files!
It is time to start using hdtv where it belongs.. What is hdtv. HDTV is defined by a number of standards that we use. And the only real HDTV standards is 720p and 1080i or 1080p. All the rest that is out there can hardly be called true HDTV. For me calling a file compressed down to 350M for hdtv is purely lame when also the resolution is far below hd.
So my suggestion for all of you out there hwo puts names on videoclips on the internet is to:
first always skip the term hdtv, 720p is hdtv so for an example naming a file zzz.720p.hdtv.yyy is to say the same thing twice.
example scheme.. (zzz is extensions)
350M name.s00e00.zzz
700M name.s00e00.hr.zzz
name.s00e00.720p.zzz (name.s00e00.720p.x264.mkv)
name.s00e00.1080i.zzz
name.s00e00.1080p.zzz
as you can see in all of the above examples the term hdtv is excluded. And as we all know the three last ones is the only ones that is HD.
Thanks!
