Dear Blender Foundation,
I don't know if this is a bug or not but I am having trouble
downloading Blender, but this is what makes me think it is a bug...
(Sorry if this isn't where I'm suppose to report bugs...)
First, I am using Windows XP...
My problem, when I install Blender with the Blender installer
everything works fine until I open the program... When Blenders
Console Box pops up (I don't know what it is called... The small
box...) it displays the words:
(Note, this still appeared after I installed Python and When I
downloaded an earlier version of Blender I didn't have this
problem... The problem started happening when I tried to download an
updated verion of Blender... Will you include something on your
website on how to update old versions of Blender on the Users
Computer?)
Compiled with Python version 2.5.
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback
Checking for installed Python... No installed Python found.
Only built-in modules are available. Some scripts may not run.
Continuing happily.
I'm just concerned, this may not be a bug. This has never happened
before in my previous experiences with Blender...
Thanks...
PS... I think the trouble might be that my computer can't find the
Python scripts, but this has NEVER happened before in the previous
downloaded Blender Versions. Well, the first time I downloaded
Blender I had no trouble... The Second time I downloaded Blender (It
was the version before 2.44 was released...) I had trouble, but it
just couldn't find the python script and the message in the console
box was different it didn't include the ('import site' failed; use -v
for traceback) part, but I fixed it later... And this is what
happened when I tried to download the latest version of Blender to
replace the older ones mentioned earlier...
Thanks again, please email me back...
