Once apon a time, there was an extremely brave adventurer, named Frolof Zagson, he was light-skinned, brown haired, and brown eyed. When this adventure starts out, he is but a peasant in the kingdom of Misthalina, but as most adventures go, this quickly changes.....
On the day it all started, he woke up, got out of bed, and milked the cows. On his way to the cows, he checked the chickens, only to find out that they had laid no eggs the previous night. He decided to go to town, so he could have some eggs to eat for dinner. His diet usually consists of steak for breakfast, soup for lunch, and two eggs for dinner. After his steak, he got dressed in his clan outfit. His clan is called M.A.C., which stands for Men Against Creatures. Misthalina's creatures are very odd and magical, kind of like the Harry Potter books.
On his way to town, he saw a creature that was half unicorn and half bear. He was quite startled and confused by it and thought he should see a fortune teller to interpret what it meant.
As soon as he got to the fortune teller's tent, she jumped up off of her stool, and came running to him.
“You are the one from the dream I had!!”, she exclaimed.
“What is this dream you speak of you crazy woman? I have never seen you”, he responded very quickly and condescendingly.
“You were carrying a gold and black sword, called goldblack, and you destroyed a demon that is threatening our world. This means you must be the one the prophecy described, go talk to Sir HoobenHoff up at the castle, he has the sword and will aid you in training.”
So like any random peasant does in any other situation, he accepted the quest. He found out where Sir HoobenHoff resided in the castle, and went straight there. Once there, he barged into the knight's bedroom shouting, “I AM THE CHOSEN ONE!” He immediately got a book thrown at him, which hit him in the face, hard. He proceeded to apologize to Sir HoobenHoff and explain what was going on. He said that he did have the sword, but first he must prove his dedication to the quest that he was on. He said it was locked up in a chest and that he “purposefully” dropped one key down the sink and that the other key was with a knight called Sir Solar.
So, Frolof began step three of his quest, to get the key out of the drain. He went to the kitchen and asked the cook for a bucket of water. The cook told him, “theres a bucket right there, and a sink right there, fill it up yourself.” So Frolof picked up the bucket, filled it up with water, and sliced the cook's head off. He left the body and other pieces on the floor and went to the sink where Sir HoobenHoff dropped the key and dumped the bucket down it. He heard the key hit the ground with a “clink” and went outside the castle to the dreaded sewer entrance to go get it.
On the way, he had some run-ins with some monsters. The first of five monsters was a rat. After a scared and high-pitched shriek, he stepped on it and it died, monster one, dead. The second monster was a giant spider. He took his sword and stabbed it from behind, not very noble but still, dead. The third monster was a zombie, straight out of Shawn of the Dead. He stabbed the monster straight through the heart, and it didn't do anything, so he just ran away, monster three, avoided. Monster number four was quite a step up from monster three, a large gorilla. Yes, large gorillas inhabit the sewers. This battle proved to be very hard, avoiding and blocking blow after blow, until finally slaying it. The fifth and final fight was against none other than an invincible rat. In reality, there is really no point to an invincible rat, because it cannot be defeated, but it can also not defeat anyone, all it can do is get fat, and this was one BIG rat. He continually stabbed the rat until finally he gave up and took the key off the ground and ran back to the surface.
He ventured back to the castle and up to Sir Solar's room. He asked him if he could have the key and Sir Solar said yes without hesitation and gave it to him right away like a flick of a wand or the snap of a finger, you get it, it was fast.
Frolof went back to Sir HoobenHoff's room and gave him the two keys. HoobenHoff took the keys and went over to the chest, and pulled out the sword and a piece of parchment. He explained to Frolof, “You must hurt him a lot with this sword, which will weaken him as soon as he sees it, then when he is at severely low strength, you say this incantation 'Ooga Booga Booga Ooga', and then he will fall to the ground, dead.” Frolof took the sword and piece of parchment and ventured south of the city, where the demon was supposed to have set up camp and pulled out his binoculars and searched around.
He spotted three things: a stone circle with a lot of M.A.C. Members around it, a house with a man cutting his wife's head off, and one with a demon eating an apple. The only thing he saw wrong out of these three is the one he set out to check out, the demon eating an apple.
As he approached the demon he said, “Hello demon, I am here to kill you and drink your blood, in order to cure myself of the disease I don't have and to protect the kingdom.”
So the battle began, the demon shooting his gun at Frolof, and Frolof dodging the bullets, matrix style, and running at the demon with his sword trying to slice at him. After about three days, Frolof finally struck the demon down and drank his blood. He dismembered his body and took the head to the fortune teller, who thanked him for his services, and gave him one gold for his troubles. He asked her if he could get more gold or knighted or anything that would make his effort worth it. She said no now get out my tent before I have the city guards come down here and kill you, you got your sword, now go away.
This was where the journey ended for Frolof, he went back home and continued being a very poor peasant, never being rich and always eating steak for breakfast, soup for lunch, and eggs for dinner. Moral of the story: never do something that you aren't paid for first.
