My name is Tyler Young, handle Chao7 from the GSC english modding forums (see thread).
I'm looking for some technical help that I can't seem to find elsewhere, I was wondering if you could spare a few minutes to help.
I'm working on a project to try to wrap xrCore's exports and initialize it to a degree, to allow easier access to the gamedata databases, and syntax checking and compile testing LUA scripts, as well as later possibly a wrapper for IPureServer.
I managed to instantiate the core ( InitCore as the private __thiscall to xrCore::_initialize, Core.*InitCore("xray",NULL,0 /*false, don't init fs*/,NULL) ).
However, I'm having trouble calling xr_FS._initialize().
It's typical initialization arguments are ( 0x80 /*128*/, NULL, NULL ), but it seems to always hang on a call to rescan_paths inside it.
And less importantly, I can't get multiline text (using \n linebreaks) to work via LUA script w/ CUIStatic's SetText... does it only work on complex_mode=1 xml initialized static forms?
