020301 Managing the School Reindeer Hunt
The purpose of this project was to develop a system for managing an annual school-wide competition
called the Reindeer Hunt. This competition involves a large number of students making it difficult to
manually track the information to run it. The application developed allows most of the management to
be automated.

020302 Developing Codeform: A Syntax Highlighter
This project created, published, and evaluated codeform, a syntax highlighter. Written in C, codeform
has many features including no memory leaks. Codeform has unique clipboard extensions and an
online version. Users of codeform have provided feedback, and codeform is even being integrated
into a forum. The evaluation tests showed that codeform is more syntactically correct, efficient, and
flexible (though less mature) than other syntax highlighters.

020303 Finding f(x) with Genetic Algorithms
Given a set of points on a graph, can a computer accurately find a practical mathematical function
through the use of a genetic algorithm without any prior knowledge of what function that set of points
may resemble?

020304 Neural Networks: Image Recognition
The purpose of the project was to test if artifical neural networks can be used to do reliable image
recognition in a computer system. A program was designed to test neural networks in this application,
and improved upon using scale invariant feature transforms to increase the accuracy of the system.
The current implementation of the neural network is found to be 80 percent accurate.
