Dear Ms. Marino:
I am writing to apply for the position of section leader of the Alto Saxaphone section for the 2007-2008 Mt. Lebanon Marching Band Season. I have been a positive member of the Marching Band for two full years now and have dedicated much of my time and mental stamina to the marching band program. I have acted throughly responsible and productive throughout my two years, in which I have only missed events for legitamate reasons.
I understand that devotion and responsibility is required for one to lead a section of the marching band throughout the season. I am well prepared to take on said responsibility and I will do everything in my power and through my talents to lead my section to performance. I understand that the band is an amagamation of several sections and that it requires constant devotions from all parties involved. My leadership will lead the Alto Saxaphone section to well memorized music and will lead the section to using rehersals more effective.
As a section leader, I will guide our section and comfort the new members of the band. I firmly believe that peer relations will drive freshmen to better performance and will make sure that each person is comfortable with his or her peers. I have exemplary communication and social skills that will help achieve said comfort throughout all the ranks of the Alto Saxaphone section. Through said skills, I will also set an impeccible example as an Alto Saxaphone. My example will lead the other members of the section to find the devotion and momentum that I bring to the Marching band in every single one of his or her hearts.
I hope that you will elect me as the Alto Saxaphone section leader for the Mt. Lebanon Marching Band 2007-2008 season. I will greatly enjoy leading the section in the upcoming season. -- ehh didn't feel like doing anymore.
Sincerely,
Matthew Fink
Two Year Member of the Mt. Lebanon Marching Blue Devils Band
