Client Side:
1.Determines which protocol to use.
2.Browsers resolver library queries the DNS servers for the IP address or retrieves it from cache.
3.Forms a request. (eg. HTTP GET request)
4.Establishes connection with the server using the TCP/IP three way handshake.
5.Sends the request via this connection.
Server Side:
1.Receives request from the client and checks if the request is valid.
2.If the request is valid, sends the requested information via the established connection.
Client Side:
1.Receives the requested information from the server.
2.Analyzes the information and presents it a properly formatted way(eg HTML document) or calls an external application to handle it. (eg: Sound file).
