The Industrial Revolution began in England DURING the 18th century because of resources growing, geography, and farming. England had a fairly large population with many workers. People worked for high wages and it spread throughout the world. Meanwhile, an economy based on manual labor was replaced by one dominated by industry and the manufacture of machinery. Geography determined how far the country was from the sea (how does it relate to your topic?). Inventions were important in increasing textile production because it made use of mechanisms that were more tools than machines.
A witness in 1833 saw the factory commission grow from nothing into a great body (rephrase ‘great body’). People left other occupations and came to spinning for the sake of high wages. They had improved transportation such as the steam engine for boats and machines. They had their own railroad AS WELL, which was a cheap way to get transportation. They had improved roads made of stone which RESULTED IN better drainage. England was rich in those advantages. The application of steam engines to powering cotton mills and ironworks enabled these to be built in places in more convenient places. Because other resources were available, SUCH RESOURCES COULD FUNCTION WITHOUT WATER. The improved steam engine was initially mainly used for pumping out.
According to Landmarks in England Industrial History, England was fortunate in possessing the natural conditions that were needed to succeed. They had natural resources such as water power and fuel, iron ore, coal, rivers, and harbors. The water power and fuel was used to run new machines. The iron ore was used to construct machines, tools, and buildings. The coal was used for machines. The rivers were used for inland transportation. The Harbors were used for the ships to set sail. An island separated from the rest of mainland Europe was added by Britain's geographical position. Britain was able to succeed due to the availability of key resources it possessed. The population was very dense for its small size.
Easier farming happened due to the inventions that were made; they were easier and had better quality. England was able to have farms because it was proper to give a review of the farming methods that made England so famous. It was enclosed without help of Parliament and the introduction of a favor year rotation of crops.
The Industrial Revolution was basically a major shift of technological, socioeconomic, and cultural conditions. John Clapham and Nicholas Crafts have argued that the process of economic and social change took place gradually. Scientists could think and create new ideas in the Industrial Revolution. They were an expanding economy to support industrialization because business people invested in the manufacture of new inventions and growing overseas trade increased demand for goods. It ended in the early 19th century.
