Hi Martin,
Ported the interface of your XGL setup tool to YCP. Needs some
polishing and more important those buttons need to trigger commands.
Even if you are not consider to port this specific XGL tool, toy around
to learn some stuff.
The college server seems to be off, so I hope you don't mind appended
files. kom2ycp.py is a script I have done to ease up the porting (it
doesn't do the complete port, cause of Yast tab mad handling, and only
added support for xgl.kmdr widgets; to add more, check convertNaming()).
xgl.ycp is what you want (notice: for some reason, it triggers some
infinte loop on ncurses interface).
YCP-UI documentation (with examples):
/usr/share/doc/packages/yast2-core/libyui/
(you may need to install yast-libyui devel or something.)
To run a YCP program:
/usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base program.ycp qt (or gtk or ncurses)
If it doesn't run or crash, check error messages with:
tail ~/.y2log
Cheers,
Ricardo
