[20:45] <HalB> what?
[20:45] <steven|> 355 wget http://mirror.trouble-free.net/centos/4.2/os/i386/CentOS/RPMS/openssh-3.9p1-8.RHEL4.9.i386.rpm
[20:45] <steven|> 356 wget http://mirror.trouble-free.net/centos/4.2/os/i386/CentOS/RPMS/openssh-clients-3.9p1-8.RHEL4.9.i386.rpm
[20:45] <steven|> 357 wget http://mirror.trouble-free.net/centos/4.2/os/i386/CentOS/RPMS/openssh-server-3.9p1-8.RHEL4.9.i386.rpm
[20:45] <steven|> 358 rpm -Uvh *.rpm
[20:45] <steven|> 359 rpm -Uvh *.rpm --force
[20:45] <steven|> fixed it
[20:45] <HalB> hmm
[20:45] <steven|> https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2006-0044.html
[20:45] <steven|> this broke it
[20:45] <HalB> heh
[20:45] <HalB> let me try
[20:47] <steven|> after you downgrade
[20:47] <steven|> reload ssh
[20:47] <steven|> and log back in
[20:54] <steven|> doodododo
[20:56] <HalB> heh
[20:57] <HalB> would that break su - not working in cpanel?
[20:57] <steven|> yes probably
[20:58] * HalB fires up a vps to find out

[22:01] <HalB> well, I can su - as root now with cpanel
[22:02] <HalB> although I'm not sure if thats because I created the /dev/pts folder
[22:02] <HalB> or if the openssh did the trick
[22:02] <steven|> could be why
[22:02] <HalB> although cPanel had upgraded openssh
[22:02] <HalB> and it still worked
[22:02] <steven|> not sure what the deal with it is tho
[22:02] <HalB> for su
[22:02] <steven|> for both issues
[22:03] <HalB> well, at least its working for ssh
[22:03] <HalB> since thats what the customer uses
[22:03] * HalB hands steve a cookie
